I was born in England and attended a convent school there.  Our family emigrated to Canada where I completed my secondary and post-secondary art studies in Montreal, Edmonton and Vancouver.  I have worked in art education in both the Catholic and Public school systems teaching children art from kindergarten to Grade 12, while continually working on my art.  I have retired from teaching and now pursue my art full-time.

As a professional artist, my work has always dealt with the sense of sacredness in 'self' and the holiness of life. From the beginning of my art career, I have worked in the area of metaphysics in the expressionist tradition and seek the expression of spiritual love.  I have continually exhibited my work in private, cooperative and provincial galleries and was selected to participate in the 'Prix International d'Art Contemporain' in Monte Carlo.

Although trained in the modern art tradition, since 1999 I have been working in iconography, the sacred art tradition of the Eastern and Western Church.  I currently work from a Port Moody studio run by the Arts Council, and from my home studio.  I have been a member of the Epiphany Sacred Arts Guild Executive since it began general meetings and have curated some of their biennial juried shows.
