Patricia Ballard
is a professional painter and teaches fine arts in the public school system in North Vancouver. She has an M.F.A from the University of British Columbia, a B.F.A. from the University of Alberta, and an Art Education Specialist Certificate from the Ontario Institute of Studies in Education (U. of T.).

Patricia has worked in the area of metaphysics through the use of colour in the expressionist tradition, and more recently has begun to study icons, egg tempera painting and the sacred art tradition of the Roman Catholic Church.

She was born in England and went to Maryville Convent School in Welling, Kent. Her family later emigrated to Canada where she has lived in Newfoundland, Labrador, Quebec, Ontario and the Northwest Territories.
